Important Update for newcomers from Ukraine arriving in Manitoba:

Since the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Manitoba government has come together with the Ukrainian community to welcome Ukrainians to our province. In that time, we've welcomed more than 25,000 Ukrainians to put down roots and rebuild their lives in Manitoba. While federal immigration rules and supports for Ukrainian newcomers are changing, Manitoba will continue to work with the Ukrainian community to identify ways to support those who move to our province.

On March 31, 2024 the Government of Canada will end the federal Canada-Ukraine Authorization for Emergency Travel (CUAET) program.

Manitoba will continue to offer services at the reception centre and the temporary accommodation program (TAP) for all Ukrainians arriving on or before March 31, 2024, until April 30, 2024.

Ukrainians arriving on or after April 1, 2024, will still be able to access a variety of services and supports available to all newcomers to Manitoba.

The Manitoba Government is also working with the Ukrainian Canadian Congress - Manitoba Provincial Council (UCC-MPC) to offer transitional supports to Ukrainian newcomers arriving after April 1, 2024. For more information on these supports, contact UCC-MPC at info@uccmanitoba.ca.
